What to Expect
Visiting for the first time? Here is a helpful guide to make your visit comfortable and welcoming.
Arrival & Parking
Zion Lutheran Church is located at 208 Erie Street in Stratford. Parking is available on-site and along the surrounding streets. Arrive a few minutes early to settle in comfortably.
A Warm Welcome
Greeters will welcome you at the door and provide you with a worship bulletin. Feel free to ask any questions — our members are happy to help you feel at home.
The Worship Service
Our Sunday worship follows the Lutheran liturgical tradition, featuring hymns, scripture readings, prayers, and a pastoral message. Hymnals and bulletins guide you through each part of the service.
Holy Communion
On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate Holy Communion. All baptized Christians who believe in the real presence of Christ in the bread and wine are welcome to receive the sacrament.
Fellowship & Coffee
After the service, you are invited to stay for coffee and conversation in the fellowship hall. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet members, ask questions, and learn more about our church community.
Sacraments & Rites
We celebrate the sacraments and rites of the Christian faith as means of God's grace.
Holy Baptism
The sacrament of initiation into the body of Christ, for infants, children, and adults.
Holy Communion
The sacrament of the Eucharist, in which Christ is truly present in the bread and wine.
Confirmation
Affirmation of baptism for youth who have completed instruction in the Lutheran faith.
Marriage
The blessing of Christian marriage, celebrated in the presence of God and community.
Burial of the Dead
A service of Christian hope and comfort for the bereaved, commending the departed to God.
